Twenty kilometers from the Algerian frontier

We woke just before dawn to climb the dune and view the sunrise in the east. It was then that we discovered we were on the eastern front of the Sahara desert just twenty miles from Algeria. We'd come a long way.

After tea we mounted up and made the hour a a half trek back to the hotel where we showered and breakfasted. We said goodbye to our guides, loaded up the rover and headed further south.
