North to Oporto

This morning we head north to Oporto with many planned (and probably a few extra) stops along the way. First up is Obeitos and the castle.

The drive out of Lisbon was a snap and the roads great. We reached Obeitos to discover a totally preserved and walked city. We parked the car and climbed to the top of the ramparts. From there we could see the countryside. We walked the walls the entire length of the city and then back down the Main Street for a taste of the local cherry liquor-served on an edible chocolate cup!
