Desert 4x4s

Our ATV tour guide met us at noon and escorted us to a desert oasis near the great pyramids. Ahmed was charming and engaging. He was also quite patient.

We arrived at the starting point just below the great pyramids. After a few minutes of preparation we headed out, each of us on our own 4X4. The pictures tell the rest of the story. It was a blast!

We traversed the dunes and took an interesting trip through the garbage dump. Bobbie and were chastised several times for leaving the group and heading out to a distant sand dune. Eventually we figured if we went on apposite directions that they could only keep track of one of us at a time. Before long the group caught on to our strategy and that kept our guides pretty busy for the two hours of riding...smile!
