Athens City Tour

We were met at the boat by our guide Alexander and hostess, Yulieth. Rita and Verena joined us s few minutes later. They had missed their connection in Frankfurt.

We immediately began our city tour with a brief overview of the modern city by bus and then a walking tour of the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum. Both were amazing as expected and the new museum which just opened was spectacular.

Afterward we checked into the hotel for a free afternoon and a visit from a local doctor. It seems I caught a nasty bug on the boat and need to get on top of this fast! Thank goodness we have a free day tomorrow and a hotel room with a window and fresh air.
