Ubeda

A short drive to the top of another hill brought us to Ubeda ("oo-ba-da" as we learned from the locals). A sweet little town with a huge cathedral overlooking the fertile Andalusian plain. We parked our car and headed out on foot with a map of the city to guide us. Two hours later we had visited several plazas and the grand cathedral where we enjoyed an audio tour. For lunch we picked a quiet plaza off the main tourist route and had a great lunch with the locals. The fried calamari was terrific!
