If it was good enough for George Lucas...

We took the downtown bus once again and got off at the Botanical Gardens...of course! As we wandered through the park we discovered a bazaar, purchased a couple of scarves and some nuts.

Next was the Plaza de Espana, a huge semicircular structure left over from the Pan-American Expo of 1929. It was used as a set for the last Star Wars film. We toured the military's museum, actually pretty cool.

By now it was over 100 so we headed to the river and boarded a cruise boat up the river. It was fun to simply sit for a while in the coolish breeze.

Afterwards we headed for the Jewish quarter again Nd had a lete lunch. Then it was back to the hotel where we all shared a day room to rest up for the long bus ride to Lisbon tonight.
